Course for Learners of a Second Language

This integration course is for anyone who can write in their native language but not in the German writing system.
  • 900 UE German up to language level B1
  • 100 UE Orientation course

  • The course concludes with two tests: the “German Test for Immigrants” (DTZ) and “Life in Germany” (LiD).

What is an authorization certificate?

The most important requirement is that you have a certificate of eligibility. If you are a recipient of citizen's allowance, you can obtain the certificate of eligibility from your job center. If you do not receive a citizen's allowance, the BAMF (Department for Asylum and Refugee Protection) can issue the certificate of eligibility.

When does the next course start?

We start every month. We will let you know the exact start date as soon as you have sent us your contact details.

Are there any technical requirements?

You need a computer. This can be a laptop or a tablet. A cell phone or smartphone is not suitable. The screen must be at least 10 inches in size. If you do not have a suitable device, you can borrow one from us. You also need a stable internet connection. The internet connection of your smartphone is usually not sufficient. You need a tariff with unlimited data volume.

I don't have internet. Can I still take part?

No. If you don't have internet at home, you can't take part.

I don't have any technology, how can I still take part?

You can borrow a tablet from us for a deposit. This tablet is fully set up and you can start using it right away. After completing the course, you send the tablet back to us. You will receive more detailed information about this during your first personal consultation.
